ESTIMATOR

The Estimator will be responsible for estimating potential projects in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Read architectural drawings and understand specifications to provide correct take offs
  • Estimate materials and labor, and budget for projects
  • Form strong working relationships with architects, engineers, preservationists, building managers, and owners
  • Commit to deadlines and deliver accurate estimates in a timely fashion
  • Manage and respond to RFIs and submittals during the job acquisition cycle
  • Attend on site pre-bid proposals and job meetings as needed
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field
  •  3+ years of estimating experience
  • Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
  • High degree of organization and accuracy
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills

PROJECT SUPERVISOR (EXTERIORS DIVISION)

The Project Supervisor of our Exteriors Division will oversee activities that take place on the worksite and will be heavily involved in planning, organizing and controlling projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily on-site supervision of subcontractors to drive progress, ensure quality and maintain a safe and clean job site
  • Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors
  • Manage procedural requirements to avoid project delays and ensure project safety and client satisfaction
  • Conduct routine quality control inspections
  • Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free work environment through own actions and mentoring others
  • Exceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs
  • Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project
  • Supervise punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field
  • 3+ years of construction experience
  • Experience with suspended scaffold rigging a plus
  • A positive attitude and desire to deliver exceptional results on-time for our clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive background and knowledge of safety procedures and federal and state regulations
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and delegate work appropriately

PROJECT SUPERVISOR (INTERIORS DIVISION)

PROJECT COORDINATOR

The Project Coordinator will work closely with our Project Managers to ensure projects are moving forward with accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee internal and external resources to ensure adherence to administrative processes and procedures
  • Perform due diligence to ensure need for project-specific permitting and obtaining necessary permits for all projects
  • Oversee superintendent and project manager communications to ensure achievement of targeted goals and timelines
  • Facilitate communication among subcontractors, office personnel, clients and vendors
  • Determine need for and generation and submission of subcontractor and vendor contracts
  • Daily correspondence with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and governmental/administrative agencies
  • Obtain certificates of insurance, lien waivers, change orders/ change requests, partial waivers, final releases, product information, designs, drawings, engineering plan overview
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field
  • Detail-oriented, organized, analytical and extremely proficient on the computer
  • Proven record of demonstrating independent judgment in overseeing project management
  • Proven record of providing excellent customer service
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft applications

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting Project Managers in coordinating the activities of a project to ensure cost, schedule, document control and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project phases including due diligence, programming, design development, construction documentation, construction, punch list and closeout
  • Review design progress sets to ensure that contract documents are consistent with design intent
  • Establish and communicate work scope, procedures and goals to project participants
  • Track and communicate status of project budget, schedule and issues
  • Guide submittal for and receipt of approvals
  • Inspect work to ensure conformance with local, state and federal construction codes
  • Schedule and administer project meetings
  • Participate in client meetings to report on progress
  • Serve as liaison between client and contractor/vendor resources
  • Input, edit, update and manage retention of project data within required project management database
  • Review all requests for information, change requests, etc. and oversee appropriate responses
  • Review invoices for conformance with documentation requirements, completion status, cost and processing timeliness
  • Oversee compliance to project closeout processing routines
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field
  • 1-2 years of construction experience
  • Project phasing expertise and experience in urban project environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction practices/techniques, ADA and contract law, project controls and building support systems
  • Ability to understand and interpret design documents, drawings and specifications
  • Detail-oriented, organized, analytical and computer literate
  • Proven leadership skills, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and a proven record of providing excellent customer service
  • Solid supervisory skills essential to lead teams of service providers

JUNIOR ESTIMATOR

The Junior Estimator will be responsible for assisting the Estimator in all aspects of the bidding process.
Responsibilities:
  • Draft proposal documents for review and approval by Chief Estimator
  • Attend bid walk-through’s and inspect job site to assess conditions
  • Maintain proper files on each estimate and prepare estimates using various tools including MS Excel
  • Forecast project costs, gather details, & compile data to quickly and accurately estimate all production & resources
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs and prices for labor, material, equipment and subcontract work items
  • Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials
  • Communicate with Project Manager any RFI’s, or conflicts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field
  • At least 1 year of estimating experience
  • Ability to read and thoroughly understand architectural drawings
  • Ability to clarify bid documents and issue RFI’s to architects and owners
  • Ability to attend offsite meetings, walk through’s, etc.
  • Exceptional mathematic abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Project
  • Strong communication and analytical skills

INTERN

We are looking for an Intern who is eager to learn about the building restoration industry and to provide exceptional support to our hard-working team.
Responsibilities: 
  • Develop both technical and professional skills while assisting the PRESERV team both in-office and on-site
  • Work side by side with experienced Project Supervisors, Project Managers, and Estimators
  • Assist with: managing project document flow, taking progress photos of job sites, submittal review and approval process, RFI process, and any other duties specific to each project
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a 4 year college or university
  • Tech savvy and proficient in MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail, efficient time management and organizational skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Self-starter, taking ownership of assigned tasks from start to finish
